Here’s a mood board for Cal from What Love Means.
Calvin Winthrop-Scott (III)
“I was a Winthrop-Scott. I was a winner. Anything else was unacceptable.”
The book is still free through today. Get your copy now!
My novel What Love Means is available for free this week on Amazon.
Max is a thrill-seeker on the road but doesn’t take chances with his heart. He has a loving (and annoying) family, a part-time job, and his motorcycle. He doesn’t need anything or anyone else. Certainly not a blonde rich kid who’s never had to work for anything in his life.
Cal might not have a job, but he’s always busy. Getting into a good college takes work and it’s worth it even if he doesn’t have any time for himself. He doesn’t need a rugged dark-haired boy distracting him.
When Max and Cal’s siblings start competing in spelling bees, these opposites are thrown together. They have nothing in common. Except for their attraction to each other. As they grow closer while coaching their siblings, their attraction might lead to something more. But can their high school relationship survive real world challenges?
Spelling words and learning their dictionary definitions is easy. Real life is different.
Max and Cal know how to spell love, but they’re about to find out what it means.
The free promotion lasts from Sunday to Thursday and the book currently is at number 1 in several of its categories. Thanks to everyone who’s gotten a copy so far!
L-O-V-E is a YA romance novel about two kids who used to compete in spelling bees and have grown up to become very different teenagers. A FREE excerpt is available on Amazon, and it’s around 85 pages. It provides a good introduction to the characters and their world. The full book will be released in April.
Book launches aren’t complete without a little fanfare. To that end, I’ve started a contest. I chose 10 of the best books in the LGBT young adult fiction category to give away. There’s plenty of time to enter and invite others for your chance to win these e-books.
I went fairly simple as it’s my first time trying this, but there’s still lots of goodies. I picked contemporary YA novels with gay romances. We’ve got some bad boys, opposites attracting and boys from different worlds, which are all present in my upcoming book, L-O-V-E. There also many popular picks in the genre. These books should appeal to everyone who likes M/M stories featuring young/new adults.
One winner gets all ten e-books. I’m tempted to give away smaller prizes, like maybe a choice of five books to someone and one or two books to multiple people. I think that will depend on how many people join, so please enter and promote the contest. Also, I’m trying out different covers for L-O-V-E, so tell me what you think of this one.
In my last post, I talked about some great YA novels with gay love stories. I’m now giving those books away! You can more by clicking on the banner to go to the contest page. Good luck!
