A Loyal Protector

Whenever I go to write a blog post, I think, what the hell should I write about? A saying came to mind, ‘write what you know.’ Of course, that makes it all so clear. Which means, for this and however many posts I apply that adage to, be ready for stories about my dog. I like my dog. And we’ve also met, so I know her.

As the vegetarian, I only ordered fries from the BBQ restaurant. Which was fine because we ordered to-go and this allowed me to put cheese on the fries. I went to grab the cheese, and upon returning, saw a friend betraying me and stealing some fries from my bag.

“Thief!” I yelled, catching them in the act.

“AH!” yelled the thief as I inadvertently scared the hell out of them, which also scared the hell out of me.

My dog swooped in, ready to protect me and save–the fries. Seeing her opportunity, she jumped up and grabbed a fry from my friend’s hand. There is truly no honor among thieves.

The Only Way to Improve Disneyland: Add More Dogs

Dogs are the best. They’re just like humans, except not really, and they’re much better.

Here is a picture, and video if you click the link, about a service dog combining work and play in an adorable manner. Okay, the dog looks like a golden retriever and is therefore automatically always adorable, but her trip to Disney World is extra cute.

Her name is Nala. I was proud of myself for recognizing the Lion King reference on my own.

I’m less clear about what’s on her head. I know it’s supposed to be something, but no clue what. Possibly a mountain range. Whatever it is, I think the photo is improved because of it.

And if I knew why I found this picture so hilarious, I would explain it to you and myself. Maybe because she’s taking a tourist photo like she’s a people? No idea but it’s funny and sweet at the same time.

Almost every dog I’ve ever had loves car rides, so I guess the idea of a dog riding and liking an amusement park ride isn’t too far off but this still blows my mind. Also Nala is hipper than me because she has her own Instagram.

The Best Girl. Hey, asking for no reason, have I ever told you about my dog before?

Don’t worry, when I say the best girl ever, I’m not actually talking about a girl. Not a human one anyway. This blog is still primarily about MM. Or MLW, the gay, whatever you wanna call it, even though I myself am super bi. But not Super Bi, an amazing queer superhero with a pink, purple and blue cape.

I’ve mentioned, but not shown pics of my girl, Wu. That’s dumb, since she’s really cute and also I love talking about her and will often do so without reason or prompting of any kind. Like right now. Well, I have reason. The reason is this: I want to.

Here she is.

Her interests include squirrels, barking her head off, especially barking her head off at squirrels but still a favorite hobby even without them, food, walks, people and then food walks and people again. I don’t know what kind of dog she is, she’s stubby and adorbs.

I had a moment of pure panic where I was overwhelmed with choices and didn’t know which picture to choose, so I forced myself to just pick one. And then I remembered that I could post another picture.
